When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and have asked Him to sustain us the remaining days of our life, and have been scripturally baptized, we are then spiritually ready to receive the Power of the Holy Spirit to move freely in our lives. It is then, that our Faith Journey truly begins in a new light - in His light.
It is by faith that we allow the Power of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct our daily decision making, while trusting and obeying our Father in heaven to sustain us forevermore. Jesus Christ walks with us every step of the way.
What is Faith?
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. Hebrews 11:1-2 (NIV)
Trusting our Father means looking outside of what we can see to what God sees.
When we continue to mature as Christian's and grow in our Faith, we learn to listen, trust and obey God. Praying for and maintaining a quiet spirit allows us to spirtually receive the lessons in our life journey that He personally wants to share with each and every one of us (an intimate relationship with Him). When we learn to listen to God, we quickly develop a God-centered thirst for Him and His Word, which naturally, bends our hearts toward Him. And then, we are spiritually ready to receive our faith journey anew through the Power of the Holy Spirit. It is by Faith that we do these things, which glorifies our Father in Heaven. We are so blessed to know Him!
